Motor Bar is probably in rotation for my favorite restaurant in Milwaukee. I first found this place on a work lunch and instantly fell in love with the general vibe and the incredible food that it offered. It quickly became a popular restaurant that I would bring guests when they were visiting Milwaukee. Motor Bar is located right across from the Harley Davidson Museum, which is a site to see in itself, but adds to the general experience of the restaurant. It’s a super fascinating museum all about the history of Harley and motorcycles in general. After you’ve gotten your fill from the museum, head across the walk way to Motor Bar for some unbelievable comfort food.

The big pretzel is an absolute must to start off your meal, and it is very common to find in a lot of Milwaukee restaurants due to the strong German influence. From there you can’t really go wrong with the rest of the menu. If you are looking for something a little more fresher than definitely check out their Chicken Apple Salad. I immediately wanted to ask for the recipe and make it all the time. But, if you are looking for something more in the comfort food variety, you can’t go wrong with any of their BBQ dishes or decadent mac and cheese. I’ve been to Motor Bar many times, and I have yet to find a dish packed with flavor and reminding me of home. Check this place out! My overall rating for atmosphere, drinks and food is 10/10.
