Beatrix is quickly becoming a Chicagoland staple. With 5 restaurants (and counting) in Chicago and surrounding suburbs, it’s becoming one of those places that everyone goes to. Surprised it took me this long to make my way to one of them. And if their lunch and dinner menu is as good as their brunch menu, I’ve clearly been missing out. It’s an upscale American cuisine restaurant serving up classics with the freshest ingredients. It’s great food with prices that won’t break the bank.
As I mentioned, we went for brunch recently and as someone who isn’t a huge breakfast person, I always get a little stressed thinking about what I might eat. But luckily, Beatrix offered a wide range of items, even for people who won’t enjoy breakfast food like myself. The Ham & Cheese croissant was probably one of the best I ever had, incredibly flakey and delicious. The siracha mayo that comes on the side of the Bacon, Cheddar & Egg Sandwich provided just the right amount of heat for everything to blend together. And you can’t go wrong with their super popular Straight “A” salad. Avocado, Asian Pear and Asiago really help balance the bitterness of the Arugula. Was not disappointed in any of these choices. Excited to check it out again and experience their Lunch and Dinner menus. Overall rating: 9/10!
