Title: All the Dangerous Things
Author: Stacy Willingham
My Rating: ⭐⭐ (.5)
Why I gave this rating: I didn’t love this storyline and didn’t love the characters. Didn’t love how they used mental health as an excuse for committing crimes. Read the entire thing and just never got into it. Was just reading till the end only to find it ended with a not really big plot change.

Title: Daisy Darker
Author: Alice Feeney
My Rating: ⭐⭐
Why I gave this rating: This book is deeply disturbing but not in like a good thriller way. As soon as you start involving ghosts and children, it’s a no for me. Just a very messed up family that wasn’t really enjoyable to read about. Not my favorite Alice Feeney book. It didn’t have the cliff hanging chapter endings like her others.

Title: Daisy Jones & The Six
Author: Taylor Jenkins Reid
My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
Why I gave this rating: It shouldn’t really come as a surprise how much I didn’t like the writing style. Wasn’t really a fan of the interview style and felt it jumped around too much. I get it, you’re getting different perspectives but it lost me, and couldn’t keep up with the characters. It’s an interesting time in history but didn’t grab me like I had hoped it would. It’s probably my least favorite book by her, though I’ve only read three so still want to check out her others. We shall see if the show or book is better.

Title: The Hotel Nantucket
Author: Elin Hilderbrand
My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Why I gave this rating: If you had asked me last night what I thought of this book, it would’ve been a solid 4-star read. Deeply entertaining but wasn’t as connected as I am with my other 5-star books. But then I read the last 100 pages and had to raise it up. You fall in love with the characters and it just feels like a warm hug. This is what I was looking for in a book. It had all the drama I love, it was fast-paced, had some romance, and was an overall feel-good book. If only I had read this while on a beach somewhere. If you’re looking for just a great feel-good book, this is the one.
People who would like this book: People looking for an easy beach read. A feel-good book that will leave you happy.
Favorite Quote: “I’ve always thought of mosaic as this big metaphor for my life,” she says. “All these jagged, incongruous pieces…” She holds up a small shard of milky jade-green glass. “These are like the things that happen to you. But if it’s laid out a certain way and if you take a step back from it, it makes sense.”

Title: The Attic Child
Author: Lola Jaya
My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
Why I gave this rating: I blame the massive reading slump I’ve been in for the last 2 weeks for this rating. Nothing I’ve read lately has grabbed me enough and just have not been able to get into a book like I am normally. So please don’t let my one review steer you away from this book. People rave about it on both Instagram and Goodreads. Maybe I’ll try and pick it up again someday.

Title: Signal Moon
Author: Kate Quinn
My Rating:⭐⭐⭐ (.5)
Why I gave this rating: Kate Quinn is one of my favorite historical fiction writers and this was a fun short story. Easily readable in like 20ish minutes. An interesting take on if we were able to communicate 1943 to March of 2023.
People who would like this book: Short Story Historical Fiction Fans. History meets Sci-Fi.
