To round out the two weeks of Chicago Restaurant Week, I found myself finally checking off Aba from my Chicago restaurant bucket list. Aba has been at the top of the list for so long, and for whatever reason, just have never been able to make it there. It’s Mediterranean inspired and anyone who loves plants will appreciate the amount of effort that is needed to keep up with the hundreds of greenery that is placed throughout this restaurant. It’s a great place to go for a special occasion or just a place to treat your mom to brunch.

Please bury me with the whipped feta and pita from Aba. I had to resist the temptation of licking the bowl. I held strong, but just barely. Ugh, I miss it. This was Mediterranean at its finest in my opinion. The amount of flavor in each of these dishes was just chefs kiss. I feel like it is the kind of place where no matter what you order, it will come out looking and tasting delicious. Even for someone like myself who very much does not like eggs, still enjoyed the shakshuka dish my mom ordered. It’s been fun trying out all these places and trying some new cuisines the last few weeks. Excited to see what else this city has in store for me to try. My overall rating: 9.5/10!
