Bar Chido is just the latest restaurant to open in Downers Grove by the same people who opened Foxtail and Cadence. Two of my favorite restaurants in the Chicago suburbs. While I did enjoy it, I would put the other two above it. It’s a cute restaurant located right off of main street Downers great for date night, families, or a dinner with friends.

You know how I mentioned certain foods become my whole personality once I find them. Well, quesabirria is another item that has quickly been added to the list. Tacos with short rib meat and queso that you can dip in this flavorful soup/broth thing. Absolutely unreal. Why I didn’t try this earlier in life, I have no idea so I’m making up for it now. A very filling taco. And while I normally judge a Mexican restaurant on their guac, I didn’t order it this time, but their margaritas and chips and salsa definitely met my standards. They have a rotating specials menu so if you go soon, the catch of the week taco is this flavorful squid taco, unlike anything I’ve had before. Overall, would consider going back though there are other Mexican restaurants I would place above it in terms of my favorite restaurants. My rating 8/10!
