Does anyone find something they enjoy and make it their entire personality? I tend to do that with food. And so of course after visiting this restaurant, Japanese BBQ is my new personality. Have added like 20 different Japanese and Korean BBQ places to try in Chicago and am very excited about that. Japanese BBQ if you may not know, is essentially a place you get to pick out a few different cuts of meats in different marinades and then you get to grill it right in front of you. I’m so ready to go back! There are locations all across the country, so if there is one near you, would highly recommend checking out.

This was another one of my restaurant week picks, and the total for lunch was $25. The amount of food you got for this price was so much over this value. Incredibly filling for 2 people. You got a cup of miso soup, house salad with a ginger vinaigrette, a bowl of white rice, an appetizer of your choosing, two cuts of meat, and a s’more to end it all. The s’more was probably one of my favorite parts. Brought out my inner child and just reminded me of summer nights. My sister and I split their vegetable spring rolls and their steamed chili dumplings which I would recommend both. Then for our meats, we got Chicken Basil, Garlic Syoyu Chicken Thigh, Yaki-Shabu Beef, and the Umakara Yaki Beef. Both of the beef dishes I would highly encourage ordering if you visit. Some of the best marinades I’ve ever had with beef. Overall a super cute ambiance and delicious food. 9/10!
