T.J. Klune has quickly become my comfort author. As some of you probably know or have noticed based on the other books I’ve written about, I tend to pick some heavier topic books and that really can take a toll on someone. Don’t get me wrong, I will still keep reading them, but every once in a while I need a true feel good book that will leave me sobbing happy tears. The world, especially lately, is filled with so much hate and fear that I find myself needing a step away from reality. And Klune is that for me. If a book can get me to cry it already is going to get a high ranking from me but if it can get me to cry happy tears then it is a 5 star read. No questions asked. Klune does such an incredible job of creating these characters that at first glance seem to not have any good qualities but he starts breaking away their walls and you find yourself falling in love with them by the end of the book. He is an author I would recommend for any kind of reader. Read his books!
“Everyone loses their way at some point, and it’s not just because of their mistakes or the decisions they make. It’s because they’re horribly, wonderfully human. And the one thing I’ve learned about being human is that we can’t do this alone. When we’re lost, we need help to try to find our way again”.
