It’s quite possible I have now found my favorite restaurant in the Chicagoland area and dare I say even the entire country. From the moment I walked into The Foxtail, I knew that this place was going to be something great. I’m not sure how it came across my radar but I picked this place for my birthday a few weeks ago and there was not one dish that didn’t have me salivating by the instant visual and aroma that it possessed. And cause I’m not a good food blogger, I only remembered to take 3 pictures of the many different dishes I sampled while there (sorry not sorry). This place needs to be on more peoples radar because it is just that good.

The general ambiance of the store is very welcoming. With hidden foxes throughout the restaurant, it makes a fun game to spot them. But it’s not in like a tacky way. They’re incredibly subtle and I found myself staring at different points in the restaurant not even knowing I was looking at a fox right away. Now where do I even begin with this food! I already mentioned my instant salivating, but I don’t feel like that is doing it enough justice. The paella was probably one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten. Tears formed when I finished my leftovers the next day (later that night). Their chef did such a great job of bringing those traditional Mediterranean flavors we know, and just enhancing them with their own twist. Like they somehow managed to make hummus and roasted red pepper spread almost like ice cream in the sense that I could just eat it with a spoon. There were so many dishes I wanted to try which means I will just have to make my way back there real soon. My rating 10/10!
