Kama Bistro in LaGrange, IL

It’s official, I am obsessed with Indian cuisine. Why did it take 23 years of my life for me to actually start trying all these amazing dishes?! I immediately wanted to go back the next day and try even more dishes. I will say, I have yet to have a dish with meat in it so I’m curious if I still agree with previous statements or if I end up enjoying their vegetarian specials better. What fascinates me is the idea that every Indian restaurant serves their own take on the food just due to so many different cultures inside one country. If you are in the Chicago area, where are some of the best places to get Indian cuisine?

There was such a different experience at Kama Bistro than when I visited the Indian restaurant in Kirkland, WA. Their Malai Kafta was up there in one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Potato Dumplings in this tomato sauce with the perfect amount of spices and garlic and using their house naan to scoop everything up, mmm mmm mmm (not me ordering this online again as I write this post). And the paneer lemon tadka is the perfect appetizer to start with. The only thing I probably would’ve done differently was the eggplant bharta, but that is only cause I’m not a huge eggplant fan. I would’ve switched that out for a different add-on. I love doing family style at restaurants and Indian cuisine is always the perfect place to do this. Also, pomegranate mojitos should be on all drink menus cause why not. My overall rating 9/10.
